SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS

 

American Institute of Wine and Food

This scholarship fund was established to enable students to complete their degrees. The fund serves as a springboard for a long, distinguished career in the field of hospitality and culinary arts.

Bob Husted Memorial

This scholarship was established in memory of Chef Bob Husted, alumnus of Kendall College.

Capitanini Family

Al Capitanini, a Trustee of Kendall College, created this scholarship to honor his grandfather, Alfredo, who emigrated from Italy with little education and started The Italian Village restaurants that still exist today, 85 years later. The scholarship was established as an endowment to help a culinary student in need pursue his or her studies and dreams. Alfredo believed in education and wanted to give a student an opportunity that he was not able to afford himself.

Chaîne des Rôtisseurs

This scholarship was established to contribute to the education of a talented Kendall student from the School of Culinary Arts whose professional skills will perpetuate the legacy of gastronomy in the Chicago community.

Christopher Koetke

John Eramo, a former Trustee of Kendall College, along with his wife, Lynne, established this scholarship in July 2009 through the Inspiration Corporation in honor of Chris Koetke.

Christopher Morse Memorial

Christopher MorseChris Morse’s family established this scholarship in memory of Chef Christopher Morse, an alumnus of Kendall College, who passed away in 2010.

Helen B. Graham

Ira Graham, a former Kendall College Trustee, created this scholarship in memory of his wife, Helen B. Graham, who died in 1998. Helen was a long-time baker who would bake and gift Christmas cookies annually and deliver them to fire houses, hospitals and neighbors in the Evanston community.

Joseph L. Karp

Jack Karp, a former Trustee of Kendall College, created this scholarship. The grant is awarded to a Kendall College student who shows promise in pursuing a successful career in the field of baking and pastry.

Kendall Family

This scholarship was created to honor the generosity of the Kendall Family for whom Kendall College was named in 1950.

Otto Firing

This scholarship was created to honor the generosity of the Kendall Family for whom Kendall College was named in 1950.

Peninsula Scholar Program

This scholarship program was established in 2011 and is designed for a highly qualified Kendall College student pursuing a degree and career in hospitality. More Info (PDF)

Raymond Geraldson Jr.

This scholarship was created when Ray Geraldson retired as Chairman of the Kendall Board of Trustees -- where he served for more than ten years following the footsteps of his father who served as a founding Trustee. The grant is to be awarded to a deserving Kendall College student.

Wesley Westerberg Memorial

This scholarship was created in memory of the second president of Kendall College who served the College for 18 years.
